Grip the edge of your seat and prepare to be thrilled with Australia’s latest psychological thriller, Jungle, starring Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and directed by Greg McLean (Wolf Creek).

NIFF’s premier event will officially kick off festival celebrations with pre-film drinks under the stars and one of the most thrilling new release films to hit our screens. Rub shoulders with industry special guests, filmmakers and Academy Award winning cinematographer and NIFF Founding Patron, John Seale at this special blue carpet party in the cinema forecourt. A not to be missed event for cinema aficionados.

JUNGLE

Young Israeli Yossi Ghinsberg (Daniel Radcliffe) leaves a safe future behind to chase an improbable dream in the mysterious depths of the Amazon rainforest. For a year he journeys on the path well-travelled, but when he and two new fellow adventurers, Kevin Gale (Alex Russell) and Marcus Stamm (Joel Jackson) meet the darkly charismatic Karl Ruchprecter (Thomas Kretschmann) and follow him into the jungle, what begins as the realisation of a dream soon turns into a harrowing psychological test of faith and fortitude. A true story of survival against all odds, based on the international best-selling memoir by Yossi Ghinsberg.
